Currently we are working on a new three-storey office block for Liz Earl in Ryde. The new steel framed structure will be supported off Vibro-compacted filled ground. This technique has been used throughout this country for many years. Tari Willis Associates have designed a few projects on the Island using this innovative method for housing at Island Harbour and Industrial units in Somerton Cowes.
TWA were the main structural engineers for GKN Westlands East Cowes a few years ago for their large industrial A400 unit and we are now working a new extension to this along with other developments taking place at Osborn works.
Other recent projects include: Geotechnical and slope stability report for Royal Yacht Squadron for an extension to their modern Pavilion building in Cowes along with site investigstions and stability reports for one off new dwellings.
Since April 2010 the construction industry in general as far as we are concerned , has improved substantially and signs are that we shall remain busy for the rest of this year thanks to a number of loyal clients and architects who appreciate the quality of our service.
