From dilapidated dwellings and poorly maintained buildings of all types, including inspections of numerous old agricultural barns, we have designed/advised on their proposed refurbishment, alterations or conversions to serviceable buildings.

Structural appraisal reports are often produced to assist with likely costs or extent of remedial works required or for gaining planning approval.

We have experience with resolving many problems that arise with old weak, rotting or corroding structures. There are many ways to save old structural elements sympathetically to comply with any planning conditions and to ensure long term durability.

We aim where possible to design in the use of traditional method of repairs without resorting to complex specialist methods.

During the works we are regularly called in by contractors to inspect any site issues and agree extent of the work originally proposed and modify or propose alternative ways of dealing with defects.
